Pulse of the Day: November 6, 2020

Welcome back to The Daily Pulse!

Card of the day is the Eight of Pentacles which traditionally, represents hard work, dedication, effort to build a skill, or sometimes even focus needed to do anything consistently.

When we are eager to see change and if we are only (as many of us are conditioned) to look outwards for change of any kind, we sometimes tend to forget that the process is necessarily inside-out. Yes, the motivation to do that may be found outside, but before the new tides of change can engulf and transform us all, it takes a quiet night or two (or a whole season) to sit with the what needs to be transformed, welded, cleaned, discarded or made new. All of that needs focus, persistence, and solitude.

A tip would be to put the phone away when engaging in building something or even when wanting to listen to oneself to understand where you want to go next. As it is the human mind tends to have constant chatter, but with the addition of digital living, sometimes it becomes ten times more difficult to really listen to oneself and be. How will you build something long lasting if your focus cannot stay with yourself for longer than a few seconds?

So to sum up, take some time out today and sit in silence. Maybe find a journal to doodle on or just vibe to some music and let yourself daydream. It is in that restful state, that magical solutions often come by.

Until tomorrow!
