Pulse of the Day (25.11.2020): Pull Back & Observe

Welcome back!

Today, I have two cards jump out as representatives of today's pulse that has a clear advice for you: pull back and observe.

Very concisely, you may have made your moves in a given situation, done all you can / need to, yet the final rewards haven't been reaped yet. It is coming, you are aware, but is taking time. In general, that can of course be a cause of nervous excitement for it. However, in some cases of a little lower vibrational appearance of this nervousness, it can act as a trigger for old anxieties and fears of "what if, it doesn't happen".

You may feel tempted to jump the bandwagon of conversations or debates, that may not really be related to you or your context at the moment, but may feel like a good distraction of the excruciating pain of waiting and wondering; serving as an escape from the difficulty of honesty with yourself about the fears that you learnt to mask.

Whatever be your situation, the advice today is very clearly to pull back from compulsive behaviours, actions and thoughts, and to observe - not just the world outside as it plays out, but also your internal reactions to the external. While you wait, instead of escaping the discomfort of your triggers, get curious about them and dig deep. What you have worked for, will never be taken away from you unless you were lax. So of course, do all that you need to do right now practically speaking. But for more of you, I feel that this is speaking of something where the practical has been taken care of already, and now it calls for you to wait.

As I feel it, this entire week is a week of contemplation, closures, and new beginnings. So if some things aren't happening immediately and you find yourself with "nothing to do", take time to sit with these questions to ponder upon, and work through the discomforts of waiting in an instant age:

When you are stressed about a deadline, a fast approaching event or an impending news, are you able to identify them?
How do you experience the stress (if you do, of course!)?
How do you cope with it - what activities help?
Do you find yourself coping via escape mechanisms more than what may be truly healthy?
What are these mechanisms and can they be eased out of?
Do you need to seek support for this?

Know that this time of waiting right now, with its triggers and discomfort, is a space for you to stay put and address the source of these triggers - whether they are of fearing that you won't get your due, or a learnt belief in finding self worth in receiving, only through the hustle of external noise.

Until tomorrow.
